The Barton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the parking lot of the Willy J’s bar at 12:34 a.m. Saturday, for the first of multiple reports that vehicles had been broken into. Items that were eventually reported stolen included two car stereos and a jacket.

At 9:51 a.m. Saturday, an individual reported that a maroon 1988 S-10 pickup had been stolen from the bar’s parking lot. It was last seen at midnight.

The stolen truck was seen at several businesses on 10th St. in Great Bend shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. The driver, Christopher A. Harman, Great Bend was arrested. He was booked into the Barton County Jail on a charge of possession of stolen property, with bond set at $5,000.

The owner of the truck called Sunday morning and reported additional items missing from it.
