With construction well under way at its current project site, Habitat for Humanity’s board of directors has hopes for raising between $10,000 and $15,000 during the upcoming "Barton County’s Got Talent" dinner theater this Saturday, Jan. 21, at Grace Community Church.

The dinner theater will feature a variety of local performers, all competing for the title of Barton County’s Got Talent Champion. This year’s event will also feature non-competing guest performers and a silent auction of artwork donated by local individuals.

Less than a dozen of the $25 dinner theater tickets are left, event coordinator Rachel Mawhirter said. For those who just want to get in on the competition at 7 p.m., tickets are available for $15. Tickets for the talent competition can be reserved ahead of time, but will also be available at the door until they are sold out.

Anyone interested in purchasing tickets or making a tax-deductible donation to the nonprofit organization should contact Mawhirter by calling 620-786-4896 or habitatbartoncounty@hotmail.com. Tickets are also available at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce.
