• Barbecue Benefit Meal — 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at King United Methodist Church, 1608 Odell St., Great Bend. Freewill offering taken at door. Menu includes sandwich, chips, pickles, pie and drink. Takeout available.
• Fall Harvest Carnival — 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Grace Community Church, 210 McKinley St. Great Bend. There will be carnival games, hay rides, a family photo booth, chicken noodle soup and chili, as well as “trunk or treat” for the costumed little ones in the parking lot. Freewill donations will benefit CASA.
• Trunk of Treat – 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at First Christian Church, 5230 Broadway, Great Bend. Children are invited to come in costumes to trick-or-treat in the church parking lot. The pumpkin patch will be open selling pumpkins and gourds; this is also a good place to take family photos.
• Roast Beef Fall Supper — 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Bushton Community Center 301 North Main, Bushton, sponsored by Holy Name Catholic Church. Meal is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 and free for children under 5. Quilt raffle and other prizes. Bingo, cake wheel and kids games.
