Sidewinders host Casino Night
ELLINWOOD — From 7-10 p.m. on Nov. 8 the Kansas Sidewinders MC, 21 No. Main, will host Casino Night to raise money for United Way.
A suggested $20 donation at the door buys $10,000 worth of chips or 2 raffle tickets.
Raffle items include a flat screen TV, beef bundle, cash and more.
They will be auctioning off a 2000 Watt Honda Camo Generator.
There will be a silent auction of 19 special donations.

Students receive leadership lunch
HOISINGTON — Each nine weeks Hoisington Middle School faculty and staff choose students who have shown leadership throughout our school.  This can include being respectful to adults and students, improving in grades, being helpful in and out of the classroom and just showing leadership qualities.  To promote these qualities, students participate in a Leadership Luncheon.  The chosen students were treated to pizza for lunch Oct. 17.
The following students were chosen: Livy Brewer, Grace Aylward, Braden Mooney, Chandra Ehler, Abigail Scott, Grantley Sinn, Mason Haxton, Dylan Richards, Kelsi Dalton, Heavin Hipp, Bryce Hopkins, Cody Hoffman, Karen Lovett, Trinity Dolezal, Liza Ward, Taylor Schwartz, Trey Byers, Addison Smith, Jaden Bradley, Shane Schroeder, Hayden Gardner, Jason Bradley, Xavior Robinson, Avery Brewer, Bailey Sanders, Jadynn Andereck, Amanti Howard.

Government commodities to be distributed
