As of Saturday afternoon, a man considered armed and dangerous remains on the lam in rural Barton County or nearby vicinity following a high-speed chase in Rooks County Thursday night. The fugitive, Michael Aaron Jayne, a 30-year-old white male, 5’10”, 180 pounds, brown eyes, blonde hair, is wanted for probation violations. He has been convicted of assaulting and threatening law enforcement officers in his native Redding, Calif., and in Oregon.At 10:30 a.m. Friday, the Barton County Sheriff’s Department dispatch informed officers to be on the lookout Jayne, a news release from the BCSO said.
