Alleda M. Hickel, 38, of Claflin was injured in a two vehicle wreck on Saturday just north of Moundridge, during inclement weather conditions.
Hickel, driving a 1995 Jeep, was traveling at a reduced speed northbound on I-135 at 11:40 a.m. about a half-mile of north of Moundridge when she was struck in the back of the vehicle by a semi tractor trailer driven by Curtis W. Lewis, 51, of Wichita, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol Crash Log.
Lewis was driving a 2004 Freightliner and pulling a 1998 semi trailer, and travelling at a high speed.
Hickel was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Lewis was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
