At approximately 11 a.m. Friday morning, Great Bend Police apprehended Brandon Dannebohm. The fugitive was found sleeping in a vehicle within the city limits of Great Bend, according to Barton County Undersheriff Bruce Green He was arrested and is being held on a no-bond warrant from Stafford County. Barton County charges are pending for aggravated endangerment of a child, abandonment of a child, possession of narcotics, and other charges.
On May 20, Dannebohm and accomplice Tonya Cope ran from police as they arrived at a residence at 40 NE 20 Road. Dannebohm exited a vehicle and fled on foot. Upon further investigation the deputies learned that a male and a female left the area as deputies arrived, leaving a 5-year-old juvenile child alone in the vehicle.
Cope is still at large. She is wanted for Felony Contempt of Court violating her conditions of her bond stemming from a Drug Investigation from last year.
