A driver who was being pursued by the Russell Police Department last Friday afternoon was ejected from the vehicle when it overturned.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 3:02 p.m. on Dam Lane, 0.2 miles east of 178th St., or 6 north and 2 east of Gorham.
Police were pursuing a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Michelle Larhea Detrich, 35, of Topeka, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, coming to rest in the north ditch. Detrich and passenger Jason Dale Ickler, 31, of Russell, were both taken to Hays Medical Center in Hays with undetermined injuries. They were not wearing seat belts.
The Rodeo was removed by B and C Towing.
Later in the day, Russell County contacted the Great Bend Police Department to report recovering two stolen tags after a pursuit and injury accident.
