The Barton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an injury accident that occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, in the 100 block of NE 10 Road.
Jeanna M. Richter, 23, of Great Bend, was driving west in a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville when she lost control of the car. It went into a ditch on the right-hand side of the road and rolled several times and Richter was ejected. Richter was transported by EMS to Great Bend Regional Hospital, and later transferred to Via Christi in Wichita with serious injuries.
A Via Christi St. Francis Hospital spokesman said she remained in critical condition Saturday evening.
The accident is still under investigation.
