Farm Bureau to hold Farm Safety Day

The Barton County Farm Bureau Association will be holding its 15th-annual Farm Safety Awareness Day Tuesday, March 4, at Barton Community College in the Case IH Technical training building. 
The day will begin with registration at 8:15 a.m. followed by a welcome from Barton County Farm Bureau President Kyle Schartz. 
The day’s agenda includes such topics as electrical line safety, livestock safety and distracted driving (texting while driving). Two individuals who nearly died due to farm accidents will also share their stories and talk about the danger of entanglement with rotating equipment and carbon monoxide.
 Farm Bureau Board members will be present to assist the invited presenters. Morning refreshments will be compliments of American AgCredit and lunch compliments of High Plains Farm Credit.
Farm Safety Day will begin at 8:55 a.m. and end around 2 p.m. with door prizes.
