Farm Day set for next week

The Barton County Farm Bureau Association will sponsor its 13th-annual Farm Safety Awareness Day Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Barton Community College in the Case IH Technical training building.
The day will begin with registration at 8:15 a.m. followed by a welcome by Barton County Farm Bureau Association president, Jerry Morgenstern. The first program gets under way at 9 a.m.
The day’s agenda includes the following topics: chain saw safety, grain bin safety, ATV Farm Safety, a roll over demonstration by the Kansas Highway Patrol and last but not least a safety presentation by Midwest Energy. Farm Bureau Board Members will be present to assist the invited presenters.
The morning will begin with rolls and doughnuts, compliments of American AgCredit. Lunch, compliments of High Plains Farm Credit, will be provided to participants and presenters at noon.
Farm Safety Day will end around 1:30 p.m. with door prizes. Those wishing to attend should contact the Barton County Farm Bureau Association at (620) 792-2236.
