SALINE COUNTY — Two people died Monday as the result of a collision involing three vehicles on K-140, east of Bavaria in Saline County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports Andrew Loren Wolf , 20, of Ellsworth and Joshua Bruce Gepner, 24, of McPherson were killed when the 2006 Ford Taurus they were in crossed the center line at 8:02 a.m. into oncoming eastbound lanes. Wolf , who was driving, was wearing a seat belt. His passenger was not. Both were taken to Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
Eastbound vehicles were a 2006 Nissan Murano driven by Jolene A. Goddard, 40, and a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Joshua Leland Krone, 34, both of Brookville.
The Taurus and the pickup made contact, causing the car to slide backwards toward the ditch. The Nissan Murano then struck the Taurus in the eastbound lane and all three vehicles came to rest in the south ditch.
Goddard was taken to Salina Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries. She had not been wearing a seat belt.
Krone and a 7-year-old passenger in a child booster seat were wearing safety restraints and were not injured.
The vehicles were removed by Auto House to a tow lot.
