The story in the Great Bend Tribune reported in Wednesday’s paper showed only the advanced voting numbers and not the full vote. The Tribune regrets the error. The full vote results are listed below.
A total of 1,434 votes were cast, according to the Barton County Clerk’s Office. The total voter turnout was 11.87 percent.
Canvassing the votes will be on Monday, when the results will become official, according to Donna Zimmerman, Barton County Clerk.
Great Bend City Council
1st Ward, Nels. N. Lindberg defeated Jan L. Farmer with 128 votes to 43; 2nd Ward, Marty Keenan defeated Joel Jackson with 357 votes to 222 with two write-in candidates; 3rd Ward, Ken Roberts defeated Thomas Boor with 174 votes to 119; 4th Ward, Randy Myers ran unopposed with 79 votes with one write-in candidate.
Hoisington City Council
1st Ward, Nancy Farmer defeated Paul Mater with 14 votes to 11, with two write-in names; 2nd Ward, James E. Sekavec ran unopposed with 23 votes with 3 write-in names; 3rd Ward, Karen Van Brimmer ran unopposed with 14 votes; and 4th Ward, Brian Wilborn defeated Christopher Price with 35 votes to 12.
Ellinwood City Council
The top three total at-large votes were for Kirk Clawson-146 votes; Rick Wilson-120 and Kathleen Hines-114 votes; Branden Rapp-92 votes. There were two write-in candidates.
Ellinwood Hospital Board of Trustees
Richard Kimple ran unopposed with 167 votes. There were three write-in candidates.
Larned City Council
The unofficial results were: 1st Ward, Gary Rainbolt-32 votes; 2nd Ward, George Elmore-54 votes; 3rd Ward, Harry Zielke, Jr.-28 votes; and 4th Ward, Barbara Hammond-14 votes.
Final voting numbers shown
