Great Bend High School will hold its 124th-annual graduation Sunday at GBHS’s Memorial stadium. The gates will open at 3:30 p.m. and the ceremony starts at 5.
School officials said there will be handicapped seating available in the bleachers on the east side of the stadium. Family members and friends of the students are reminded they are to stay off the field during graduation.
The class of 2011 includes 198 graduates. The valedictorian is Alby Harris and the salutatorian is MaKenzie Sauder.
Even though clear skies and warm temperatures are predicted, in case of bad weather, the ceremony will be moved the GBHS main gymnasium where the seating will be first come first serve. Televisions will be set up in the school’s Jack Kilby Commons area for the over-flow crowd.
