A free program on Digital Mammography will be offered at 1 p.m. Friday at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. Great Bend Regional Hospital staff will talk about their new full field digital mammography machine that shows great promise in the fight against breast cancer.
Breast cancer will affect an average of one in eight women sometime in their lifetime.  It is the second most common of cancer related deaths in women. Men also can be diagnosed with breast cancer.  Numerous studies prove that early detection is a vital component in the successful treatment of breast cancer.
