County officials will consider spending $10,000 in tax dollars for a local effort to find workers for local jobs.
The funding is being sought for the Great Bend Area Community Employee Recruiter Program which, according to the commission’s agenda, as goals that include: “recruitment and retention, network for employers and support of new employees in transitioning.”
Commissioners will also discuss a resolution that addresses commission concerns about the state’s exemption of taxes for a pipeline company in northeast Kansas.
And commissioners will consider the tabled action on a snow blower; discuss the landfill farm lease; and consider occupancy agreements on city properties.
