A 20-year-old man told Great Bend police he was battered by someone carrying a knife, around 9:46 p.m. Friday in the area of 19th and Holland St. He did not know the subject. An aggravated battery case was taken.

In a separate case, a 49-year-old woman reported being battered by an unknown subject at 8:33 p.m. Saturday, in the 1400 block of 11th St. However, she refused to provide additional information.
