No ticket required As part of Operation Lifesaver, officers from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Barton County Sheriffs Office and Great Bend Police Department held a positive enforcement checkpoint Wednesday morning and afternoon at the railroad crossing on South Main in Great Bend. Motorists were given a pamphlet on railroad crossing safety and a coupon for a medium cherry limeade from Sonic.
