Sharon M. Dennis, 66, died Nov. 3, at her home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 5, 1948, in Eureka, she was the daughter of Oscar Logan and Doris Marie (Simmons) Evenson. On Dec. 17, 1967, she married E. C. Dennis in Towanda. A Great Bend resident since 1977, coming from Wichita, she was employed by CPI in Human Resources and was a teacher at Claflin and Carlton Junior High in Derby.
Mrs. Dennis was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband, E. C. Dennis, of the home; two sisters, Mary Patton and her husband Daryl of Garnett, and Lois Carson and her husband David of El Dorado; three brothers, Logan Evenson and his wife Barbara of Augusta, Arne Evenson and his wife Raylin of Pretty Prairie, and Ray Evenson and his wife Susan  of El Dorado; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at the request of Mrs. Dennis. Memorials are requested to St. Rose Foundation to benefit the Heartland Cancer Center, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
