This year’s theme for Great Bend’s Home for the Holiday’s Christmas Parade is "Let it Snow." The parade is just one of more than a dozen activities taking place this Saturday. Here is the schedule of events:

• Cookie Contest and Raffle, Downtown Great Bend, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Barton County Arts Center Open House, 1401 Main Street, 5-7:30 p.m.
• Lighting of Mayor’s Christmas Tree, Jack Kilby Square, 5 p.m.
• Home for the Holidays Christmas Parade, "Let it Snow," Downtown Great Bend, 5:30 p.m.
• Parade & Cookie Contest Awards, Bandshell in Jack Kilby Square, 6:45 p.m.
• Story Time for Kids, Great Bend Public Library, Starting at the conclusion of the parade.
• Christmas Dance Performance, 6-7 Year Olds from Barb’s School of Dance, Band stand in Jack Kilby Square, 7:15 p.m.
• Free Ice Skating, Synthetic Ice Skating Rink in Jack Kilby Square, Starting at the conclusion of the parade.
• Visits with Santa at the Santa House in Jack Kilby Square, Starting at the conclusion of the parade.
• Santa World Opens, Legends Art Gallery, 1901 Lakin
