Two drivers injured Friday

James J. Rossman, 86, of Albert, and Rachel D. Hill, 30, of Larned, were injured Friday when vehicles they were driving collided in Barton County. The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m.
According to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office, Rossman was in a 2006 Ford F-150 driving south in the 10 block of NW 130 Ave., and Hill was in a westbound 2014 Chevrolet Traverse in the 1300 block of West Barton County Road. Rossman stopped at the stop sign, then pulled out to turn west onto West Barton County Road. The pickup struck the Traverse, when went into the ditch. The pickup then struck a stop sign, coming to rest in the intersection.
Two children in the Traverse were not injured.
All occupants were wearing seat belts and were treated at the scene and released. The drivers were later taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital by private vehicles.
Kansas Highway Patrol, Great Bend Emergency Medical Service and the Albert Fire Department assisted the BCSO.
