Vehicles collide in Russell County

RUSSELL — A Russell man was taken to Russell Regional Hospital with a possible injury on Tuesday after vehicles collided on U.S. 281, 2 miles south of Russell.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 7:57 a.m.
Douglas E. Rutherford, 67, of Russell, was driving a 1999 Cadillac headed south on U.S. 281 when he crossed the center and struck a 2007 Kenworth pulling a trailer, which was northbound. The truck driver, Charles Douglas Braun, 55, of Casper, Wyoming, was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The Cadillac was removed by A and D Auto Repair, Russell.
