A burglary was reported Saturday morning at Hard Right Rolling Boutique, 1624 10th St. Items reported stolen included laptops, a firearm, a wagon and keys.
That evening, police were called to a residence 311 Walnut St. to remove a subject. The reporting party said a known person came to her residence and accused her of theft.
All parties were contacted as police followed up. The man who came to the residence reported the theft of his fishing equipment.
According to Lt. Jason Settle, the woman who summoned officers to 311 Walnut consented to have officers come in and look around inside her residence. Police discovered property that had been reported as stolen from the 1624 10th St. address.
Later Saturday evening, the woman contacted police to report finding fishing equipment in her residence that was not hers. The items were collected and booked into evidence.
According to a Saturday post on the Hard Right Rolling Boutique’s Facebook page, police recovered the stolen gun and have a suspect in custody, but they were still looking for other property.
