Barton County Sheriff

Theft of a portable police radio from the Criminal Justice program at Barton Community College was reported Thursday.

 

Great Bend Police

Three juvenile complaints at various times and addresses were taken Thursday, resulting in two cases.

An attempted burglary at 1811 Washington St. was reported Thursday.

An unknown person broke into 2114 Washington St. through the back door and took shampoo and money, it was reported Thursday. Loss was $150.

An unknown person broke into a storage building at 916 Williams St. Loss was $1,000.

An unknown person took registration out of a mail box at 1304 Jackson St., it was reported Thursday.

Several items were reportedly stolen from a storage shed behind a residence on Dogwood St.

Theft of a purse from 1440 12th St. was reported Thursday.

Ellsworth County law enforcement reported locating items from a previously reported burglary.

Someone spray painted Stop signs on Eighth St., it was reported Thursday.

The GBPD K-9 officer assisted Hoisington Police Department with a search warrant at 1411 North St. D6 in Hoisington at 12:46 a.m. Friday.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made nine ambulance runs on Wednesday and four on Thursday. They responded to two fires on Thursday. (See story on page 1.)
