Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle swerved to miss a deer at 51 NE 110 Road at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle went in a ditch and rolled, but the driver was not injured.
At 4:27 a.m. Thursday, a resident at 5004 Third Ave. said his 2001 Chevy pickup was stolen out of the driveway as he slept. The keys were in the vehicle.
Great Bend Police
A Ford Escort at 5839 16th St. Terrace Apt. B43 was keyed, it was reported Wednesday.
A vehicle driven by Tammy Maes was southbound on McKinley at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Charla Thole that was eastbound turning onto McKinley from a private drive.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 2500 block of Gano St., it was discovered early Thursday.
Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Wednesday. They responded to a report of a possible gas leak in the 2800 block of 12th St. at 3:12 p.m., but found nothing.
