Domestic call leads to drug arrest

A domestic assault was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Friday at 1923 Kansas Ave. The suspect allegedly choked his girlfriend and threatened her with a baseball bat. According to the Great Bend Police Department’s Daily Incident Log, she wanted to be looked at for possible injuries, then refused medical treatment. A suspect was arrested and officers reported finding narcotics on the suspect at the Barton County Sheriff’s Office.

The BCSO Media Log shows Jeremie Scott, Great Bend, was booked into the Barton County Jail on Friday for charges of aggravated battery, with bond set at $75,000; aggravated assault, with bond set at $20,000; and possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia, with bond set at $10,000.
