A 64-year-old Dundee man was arrested without incident following a burglary in progress in eastern Barton County, Sheriff Brian Bellendir said.

Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon at East Barton County Road and NE 50, rural Ellinwood. En route, deputies were advised the property owner was holding a suspect at gunpoint. Upon arrival, BCSO deputies took the suspect into custody at an unoccupied farmstead. According to the report, Harry Casper, 64, of Dundee, was arrested and booked at the Barton County jail without incident on burglary charges. He is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
