Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Monday.

There were no fires, but there was one false alarm.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle at Willy J’s bar, 206 North U.S. 281, was allegedly hit by a known person, it was reported early Monday. It had not been determined whether this was an accident case or a criminal damage to property case.

An aggravated assault case was taken Monday night, after a student allegedly pulled a knife on another student in a commons area at Barton Community College. A K-9 was requested for searching a dorm room for drugs. This did not result in another case.

 

Great Bend Police

Monday reports:

Violation of a Protection From Abuse order was reported; the suspect allegedly sent a text message to the victim.

A license tag was stolen from a vehicle at 4905 10th St.

Two vehicles at 4114 10th St. were damaged. Total loss was $100.

Cash was stolen from a purse at 3503 10th St.
