Scott Keeler was backing a Ford F-150 in the grass at 4800 17th St. Terrance at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday and struck a water fountain.

Vehicles collided at 23rd and Lincoln at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by Jason Zink backed into a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of Eigth St. at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday.

An employee at Travelers Budget Inn, 4200 10th St., called police at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday, reporting a man needed to be removed from one of the rooms. He left the hotel prior to officers’ arrival, but was contacted in the drive-through at Burger King. John Flaherty refused a breath test and was booked into the Barton County Jail.

Olivia Ramey was driving east on 17th St. at 8 a.m. Wednesday and her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Michael Krukenburg that was stopped in traffic.

An identity theft case was made Wednesday because an unknown subject was reportedly using a man’s Social Security number.

 

Barton County Sheriff

Someone hit a 2010 Dodge pickup sometime Sunday night, around 11:30 p.m., while it was parked at Willy J’s bar, 206 North U.S. 281. The damage was discovered and reported Tuesday afternoon.

A vehicle struck a brick post at Barton Community College.

A vehicle driven by Robert Blase hit a deer in the 400 block of NE 40 Ave. at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning it was discovered that someone had shot a window and through a wall at LD Drilling, 7 SW 26 Ave., sometime during the night.

Burglary of a building at NE 20 Ave. and NE 60 Road in Cheyenne Bottoms was reported Wednesday. Someone broke in, taking a wrench.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Tuesday and three on Wednesday.

They responded to one car fire on Tuesday.
