GBPD seeking victims and information from Halloween night vehicle burglaries

The Great Bend Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred in the city between approximately 10 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 3 a.m. on Nov. 1.

Preliminary information suggests 10 to 15 vehicles were unlawfully entered during this time frame, Police Chief Steve Haulmark stated in a news release. These incidents are speculated to have taken place in the area between 10th Street and Broadway Avenue, specifically from Harrison Street west to Sherman Street.

Investigators are attempting to locate additional victims who may not have reported a theft, as well as anyone who observed suspicious activity during the listed time period.

Additionally, a Jeep key fob has been recovered. The owner is believed to reside west of McKinley Street or near the Broadway Kwik Shop. If you believe this may pertain to you or someone you know, please contact investigators.
