Great Bend man dies in rollover

A Great Bend man died Wednesday when the cement truck he was driving overturned on U.S. 281 in Russell County, the Kansas Highway Patrol reports.

Mason David Roach, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at 2:37 p.m. about half a mile south of Land Road. He was northbound on U.S. 281 when the 2005 Mack truck went off the left side of the roadway into the west ditch, through a private fence, went airborne and then rolled an unknown amount of times. KHP reports Roach was not wearing a seat belt.
