A 52-year-old Larned man was transported to the hospital with possible minor injuries following a motorcycle crash west of Larned Saturday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Scott A. Harkness, 52, of Larned was eastbound on M Road, about a mile and a half west of Larned, when he lost control of the 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was driving. Harkness laid the motorcycle down, and the motorcycle slid, coming to rest in the eastbound lane of M Road.

Harkness was transported to University of Kansas Health System - Pawnee Valley Campus after complaining of pain. KHP did not specify whether Harkness was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
