HOISINGTON — An ongoing investigation by the Hoisington Police Department, Great Bend Police Department and Barton County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old man as the subject of a narcotics search warrant executed in Hoisington Wednesday morning.
The HPD reported that at approximately 10 a.m., officers from both the HPD and GBPD executed a narcotics search warrant at 319 1/2 E. Second St. in Hoisington with a male subject identified as Kevin Adam Pekarek Jr., 40, of Hoisington. He was arrested and taken into custody.
During a search of the residence, quantities of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found. The warrant search was part on an ongoing investigation involving both police departments and the BCSO.
Pekarek was booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia; and no drug tax stamp.
Bond was set at $100,000, the HPD said.
