Great Bend Police arrested a man Saturday in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged sex offense occurring in Great Bend.

According to a Great Bend Police Department release, at approximately 9:45 p.m. Saturday, GBPD officers were dispatched to a residence in Great Bend in reference to a sex offence which reportedly occurred at the Best Western Angus Inn Hotel, 2920 10th St. During the course of the investigation, 19-year-old Blaney Davis Best was arrested on charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Best was booked into the Barton County Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bond.

This incident is still under investigation.
