Moving violation nets GBPD drug arrest

The Great Bend Police Department arrested a 40-year-old man for drug possession following a traffic stop on Nov. 17. According to the report, a traffic stop was conducted at approximately 3:36 p.m. on a gold Honda Civic for a moving violation. During the stop, K-9 Menta was deployed with a positive indication, in which the vehicle was searched. A quantity of suspected methamphetamine was found, resulting in the arrest of James Raab for possession of methamphetamine, no drug tax stamp, improper turn signal and no current proof of insurance. Raab was booked in lieu of a $10,000 cash or surety bond.
