Barton County Sheriff

A motorist hit a deer in the 1600 block of Susank Road at 6:40 p.m. Thursday.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

There was an automated fire alarm at 48 NE K-156 at 12:34 a.m. Friday. Firefighters checked the buildings but didn’t find anything. Firefighters made nine ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires.

 

Great Bend Police

Theft of a vehicle license tag from the 3400 block of 17th St. was reported Thursday.

A burglary at 2901 16th St. was reported Thursday. Items were stolen from the garage.

Someone drove across fresh concrete in the 3800 block of Broadway, Thursday afternoon.

Theft of a handicapped placard at 3503 10th St. was reported Thursday.

A known person was served with a notice to appear in municipal court for alleged theft of cable service.
