Barton County Sheriff

On Tuesday a construction company representative noticed damage to vehicles located south of SW 90 Ave and West Barton County Road. Several vehicles had been tampered with and the crime may also have included theft.

 

Great Bend Police

Someone entered the building at 715 Harrison St. and took a large amount of copper wire, it was reported Monday.

Someone entered a 2005 Mazda passenger car at 4917 Quail Creek Drive and took several items.

A 2007 Dodge Caravan parked at 1815 10th St. was damaged.

Theft of over-the-counter medication from 2012 32nd St. was reported Monday.

A known person allegedly shoplifted items from 4107 10th St. and was served a notice to appear in municipal court.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 1300 Williams, it was reported Tuesday evening.

Theft of a GPS device from a car at 5839 16th St. Terrace was reported Tuesday.

Theft of items from a vehicle at 1519 Cherry Lane was reported Tuesday.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made two ambulance runs on Monday and two on Tuesday.

They responded to a car fire at 1809 24th St. at 4:07 p.m. Monday. Damage was estimated at $2,500.

At 11:08 p.m. Tuesday they extinguished a grass fire at Fifth and Evergreen.
