Barton County Sheriff

Someone broke into a truck at 5548 Oil Center Road and took items, it was reported Thursday morning.

Over 20 cattle were out at NW 10 Road and NW 90 Ave. at 9:35 a.m. Thursday.

Two more cattle were out on West K-4 and NW 60 Ave. at 1:10 p.m. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.

 

Great Bend Police

A known person allegedly took a 2001 Chevy Malibu from an individual and hadn’t brought it back, it was reported Thursday.

Gordan Carson was driving west on 10th St. in the turn lane at 9:16 a.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Kendall Hoskins, who was pulling onto 10th from a private drive.

An individual reported losing his debit card and someone using it several times.

Theft of a wallet from 1221 10th St. was reported Thursday afternoon.

A $35.72 gas skip at 2716 10th St. was reported at 1:32 p.m. Thursday.

Between 2 and 4 a.m. on Friday, alarms went off at multiple locations. All alarms were reportedly caused by the weather.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made nine ambulance runs Thursday. There was one false alarm, caused by a malfunction at 1305 Patton road at 2:43 a.m. Friday.
