Great Bend Police

Thursday reports:

Bicycles that were previously reported as stolen were collected and booked in as evidence.

A vehicle driven by Amber Quinn was southbound on Morton St. at 10:28 a.m., and struck a vehicle driven by Brian Johnson, who was westbound on 10th turning onto Morton.

Super Glue was placed in a door lock at 2006 Broadway, causing $100 damage.

A man reported being battered at 2714 19th St. on Tuesday by a man he identified, and threatened by another man with a knife.

A vehicle driven by Alyssa Dowson was westbound on Broadway at 3:42 p.m. and struck another westbound vehicle, driven by Kimberly Reeves-Miller.

Karen Mawhirter backed a vehicle from a private drive on 19th St. at 4:22 p.m., and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Kathleen Bowers.

Someone broke a window on a home at 1801 Van Buren St.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made one ambulance run on Thursday.

At 11:09 a.m. Thursday they were dispatched to 4101 10th St. to check on a possible gas leak. At 4:14 a.m. Friday they responded to a reported smell of smoke in the 5200 block of Ninth or Tenth St. It was a wood-burning stove.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle in Barton or Rush County hit a deer on K-96 at 6:15 a.m. Thursday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
