Great Bend Police
Thursday reports:
Dylan D. Spencer, 21,was arrested Thursday morning following a traffic stop on Broadway Ave. in which he allegedly ran from officers. He was booked into the Barton County Jail and released after posting bond.
Tools were stolen from a vehicle at 2920 10th St.
A vehicle driven by Daniel Noblitt was southbound on Heizer St. at 1:59 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Ysa Hernandez-Nunez, who was eastbound on 16th St.
A burglary at 2611 27th Apt. 23 was reported. Someone broke into the residence and took a television and speakers. Loss was $700. The reporting party, Mark C. Keenan, 24, was arrested on two outstanding warrants for probation violation and booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond on each case.
Graffiti was spray painted on a motor home at 223 Becker Court.
At 5:53 p.m., a woman reported another woman who she did not know stole her coin purse at Dillon’s Store 51, 4107 10th St. Loss was $20.
A juvenile was bitten by a stray dog in the 800 block of Williams St. around 7:30 p.m. The humane society was unable to locate the dog.
At 12:24 a.m. Friday, an officer attempted to stop a gray 1993 Dodge pickup on Second St. The vehicle failed to stop and then damaged two gates on the flood control dike during the pursuit. The driver then fled on foot. The K-9 Unit was called to assist.
Barton County Sheriff
A 1998 Toyota Camry driven by Nancy Wren was southbound on SW 130 Ave. at West Barton County Road at 7:45 a.m. Thursday when she drove onto loose gravel and lost control of the car. It entered the east ditch and started to roll, coming to rest on its top. This was reported as a possible injury accident, with Albert Fire Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol also responding.
A juvenile was arrested in Hoisington on Thursday for alleged violation of a Protection from Stalking Order.
A westbound vehicle that was towing a second vehicle on Railroad Ave. at 10:27 p.m. Thursday went off the road after the driver missed the curve just east of U.S. 56, causing the towed vehicle to un-hitch. The towed vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of U.S. 56 on its top. Kansas Highway Patrol also responded.
