Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made two ambulance runs on Monday and four Tuesday. At 9:48 p.m. Monday they responded to Great Bend Regional for an automatic alarm caused by a faulty detector.

Barton County Sheriff
A Mercury Sable struck a deer in the 100 block of NW 10 Ave. at 5:34 a.m. Tuesday.
A Great Bend City truck driven by Ricky Eggers was northbound on McKinley St. in Great Bend at 11:13 a.m. Tuesday and was struck by a Pontiac driven by Marina Uribe, who was eastbound on Broadway. Because a city vehicle was involved the accident was worked by the BCSO.
At 6:23 p.m. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office was advised the U.S. Marshals had just located a vehicle stolen from 69 Hilltop Circle Dr. last week.

Great Bend Police
Wires were cut and tail lights stolen from a 2006 Chevy Silverado at 3808 22nd St., it was reported Monday.
 A bike was stolen from 1618 Jefferson St.
A theft case was taken after an individual reportedly purchased a motorcycle on Internet site e-Bay and never got it.
Money was taken from a locker at the Wetlands Aquatic Center, 2303 Main on Monday.
Theft of a bicycle from 1906 Hubbard St. was reported Tuesday.
A vehicle driven by Robert Cortez was westbound on 10th St. at 8:28 a.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Gene Stambaugh, who was also westbound stopped in traffic.
An aggravated assault in the 3500 block of 10th St. was reported at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday.
Theft of a black, 20-inch Pro model bike from 2623 Lakin Ave. was reported Tuesday evening.
