A GMC pickup driven by Kenny Singleton hit a deer half a mile west of the K-4/U.S. 281 junction, around 11:30 p.m. Friday, July 15 A Chevy van hit a deer 3-4 miles east of Ellinwood on U.S. 56 at 9:45 p.m. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
