Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs Friday, six Saturday, six Sunday and 12 Monday.
At 9:45 a.m. Friday they responded to 5212 Ridgeway, where something burning in the oven had set off the alarm. There was no fire.
At 1:06 a.m. Saturday there was a river fire east of Kiowa Road. The cause was unknown. At 2:51 p.m. they responded to a smoldering camp fire on the west side of the Radium Bridge, and at 9:57 p.m. firefighters assisted Hoisington Fire Department with a field fire by Barton Hills.
There were two false alarms on Monday.

Other fires
Albert Fire Department extinguished a small grass fire in a ditch at  NW 70 Road and NW 120 Ave. at 8:09 p.m. Saturday.
Hoisington Fire Department responded to a large field fire near Cheyenne Bottoms, at NE 10 Ave. and NE 70 Road, at 9:23 p.m. Saturday.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Linda Hathaway was westbound on 10th St. at 1:53 p.m.  Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Lauran Feist, who was also westbound stopped at the light at 10th and Harrison.
A burglary with criminal damage to property at 1411 Harding St. was reported Friday. A window air conditioner and other things were taken.
Theft of a debit card from 2334 Main was reported Saturday.
Someone spray painted a residence at 1206 Coolidge St.
At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a vehicle driven by Joseph Rocha was eastbound on 10th St. turning right onto Hubbard and struck a vehicle driven by Jonathon Conn, who was northbound on Hubbard St.
A vehicle driven by Joy Warner backed into a parked vehicle at 4209 10th St. at 5:03 p.m. Sunday.
Theft of a laptop from 320 Plum St. was reported Sunday.
A vehicle driven by Melissa Adelhardt was northbound in the 1500 block of Washington at 1:24 a.m. Monday and struck a parked vehicle.

Barton County Sheriff
Rita Hickel was driving a Chrysler van on 400 NW 190 Road (Galatia Road) at 6:35 a.m. Saturday and hit a deer.
Criminal damage to a stop sign and intersection sign at SE 30 Road and SE 60 Ave. was reported Saturday.
