Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Tuesday and six on Wednesday. Illegal fireworks started a brush fire that spread into trees south of Stone Lake on Tuesday afternoon. A fire at 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, in the back yard of 2521 Ninth St., was also caused by fireworks.
