Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made four ambulances runs on Tuesday and had one false alarm; at 7:45 p.m. they responded to the area of 514 Cleveland for a possible structure fire. They found smoke coming from a stove pipe from a fireplace.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle driven by John Oetken hit a deer in the 1200 block of NW 10 Road at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday. Damage was minor.

 

Great Bend Police

Tuesday reports:

An 18-year-old woman and 18-year-old man were allegedly caught stealing items from Walmart. They were served noticed to appear in municipal court.

A vehicle driven by Sandra Chapman was southbound on Patton Road turning east onto 10th St. at 4:27 p.m., and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Donald Hornung, who was northbound turning east onto 10th.
