Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Gregory Stoddard was northbound on Stone Street at 10:32 a.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Henryetta Penick, who was westbound on Lakin Ave.
A vehicle driven by James Carlson was westbound on K-96 at 2:37 p.m. Monday and struck another westbound vehicle driven by Walter Daniel Reynolds, who was stopped at the light at Broadway Ave. Because Reynolds is a city employee, Kansas Highway Patrol worked the accident.
The door to the press box at Great Bend High School’s stadium, 2027 Morton St., was damaged, it was discovered Monday.
At 2:21 a.m. Tuesday, it was reported that a hit-and-run vehicle had struck a parked vehicle at 3503 10th St.
Judy Bunch was getting out of a vehicle after parking it at 320 Plum St. at 7:19 a.m. Tuesday, when the vehicle started moving and knocked her to the ground. It also struck a parked vehicle. Bunch said he arm hurt but refused treatment at the scene.
A burglary at 204 Chestnut St. was reported Tuesday morning.
A wallet was stolen from a vehicle while it was in the parking lot at 1811 Main, it was reported Tuesday.
A vehicle driven by Karly Esfeld was westbound on 10th St. at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Kathy Kober, who was also westbound but stopped at a stop light.
An unknown driver struck a vehicle parked at 5216 Ridgeway Dr. and left the area, it was reported Tuesday.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, an unknown male reportedly walked into The Buckle, 1313 Main, took several pairs of pants, and walked out of the store.
An attempted burglary at 304 Maple St. was reported Tuesday night.

Barton County Sheriff
The sheriff’s office assisted in the two-vehicle non-injury accident at Broadway Ave. and K-96, Monday in Great Bend.
Two screens were cut on a home at 282 North Washington Ave., it was reported Tuesday.
Someone ripped the back door off the hinges at 111 Kiowa Road and some items were missing, it was reported Tuesday morning. A criminal damage to property case was taken.

Fires
Lightning struck a tank battery at NE 150 Ave. and NE 100 Road sometime before 8 p.m. Monday, causing a grass fire that was checked by Claflin Fire Department and allowed to burn out.
