Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made three ambulance runs on Thursday. There were no fires.

Thursday reports:

A dog owner at 205 Pine St. was cited for dog at large and no rabies vaccination after a dog bite was reported.

A check was stolen from 1212 Baker Ave.

A vehicle driven by Robert Tittel struck a parked vehicle in the Dillon’s parking lot, 1811 Main, at 2:30 p.m. A passenger was transported to St. Rose Urgent Care with minor injuries. Tittle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A vehicle driven by Brandon Bueser was southbound on Odell St. at 5:07 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Alissa Thurman, who was westbound on 16th St.

 

Barton County Sheriff

A Freightliner grain truck hit a deer on East K-4 and NE 110 Ave. at 7:42 a.m. Thursday.

A deputy assisted with a non-injury accident 1.5 miles north of U.S. 56 in Rice County at 4:16 p.m. Thursday. The driver was wearing a seat belt. She reportedly lost control of the Chevy Impala while reaching for a drink, and the car rolled onto its top.

A vehicle hit a calf on NW 230 Road and NW 130 Ave. at 4:15 a.m. Friday.

A vehicle hit a deer just south of the bridge by Hoisington in the 1000 block of U.S. 281, around 6 a.m. Friday.
