Great Bend Fire Department Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Friday, four Saturday and eight Sunday. At 7:22 a.m. Saturday they were dispatched to 221 Baker Ave. where a power pole was burning, and at 11:46 a.m. they were dispatched to 1513 Lakin Ave., where an overheated appliance had caused smoke in the house. There was one false alarm Saturday.
