Barton County Sheriff

Road barricades set up at NE 200 Road and NE 20 Ave. after a water leak were taken, it was discovered Thursday.

An individual contacted authorities Thursday afternoon about her truck being stolen Wednesday night at Burns. After viewing a video at Barton Community College of a hit-and-run reported there around 3:20 a.m. Thursday, she identified the suspect vehicle as her stolen truck.

 

Great Bend Police

Thursday reports:

A vehicle at 2123 Adams St. was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle.

A car at 5926 Eisenhower Ave. was broken into and items were damaged and stolen.

A Jeep at 5920 Hemlock was broken into and items taken.

A suspected shoplifter at Walmart was issued a notice to appear in municipal court.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle at 5927 Hemlock Dr. sometime Wednesday night. Loss was $35.

A window was broken on a recreational vehicle at 5966 Eisenhower Ave.

Items were taken from a house at 1400 Eighth St. that was burglarized.

Someone broke into a vehicle at 5915 Broadway Ave. and stole a GPS device and an air card. Loss was $550.

A suspected shoplifter ran out of Walmart at 10:32 p.m. and was not found.

Shots were heard from the 700 block of 10th St. at 10:45 p.m. Nothing suspicious was found.

A car at 1711 Heizer St. was hit by a hit-and-run vehicle around midnight.
