Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made four runs Tuesday and another call was canceled while the ambulance was en route. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

Criminal damage to property was reported Tuesday at 126 Kiowa Road, Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A 5 by 8 utility trailer was reported stolen Tuesday from 2612 21st St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:01 a.m. in the 1800 block of Morton.

An orange Mongoose-brand bike was reportedly stolen from 1812 Monroe.

A burglary in progress was reported at 10:48 p.m. at a location that was not released. Officers cleared the scene at 2:14 a.m. Wednesday.

Tyler Partington was arrested at 1:39 a.m. after fleeing the scene on foot at 18th St. and the U.S. 281 Bypass to avoid arrest. He was booked into the Barton County Jail on a warrant for contempt of court with no bond, and a new charge of interference with a law enforcement officer, where bond was set at $10,000.
